Site Support & Specialists

Additional Construction Roles: Traffic Marshal/Banksman, Site Security Operative, Maintenance Operative, Construction Cleaner and General Site Assistant.

The same card and qualification apply, although some roles may require additional employer-provided, role-specific training.

Will this get me a CSCS Green Card?

Not on its own — it's stage one of three. After passing this qualification you take the CITB HS&E Operatives Test (£23.50, booked through Pearson VUE), then apply to CSCS for the card (currently £36).

 

Your test pass must be within two years when you apply. The Green card lasts 5 years.

What does the £120 cover?

The Level 1 qualification only — registration with Highfield, your online learning and your remotely invigilated assessment.

 

The CITB test and CSCS card fees go directly to those organisations. Check both websites for current fees.

Is this the right card for my role?

The Green Labourer/Operative Card is for entry-level site roles.

 

Trade-standard work usually needs a Blue Skilled Worker Card and a Level 2 NVQ; licensed security needs an SIA licence, not a CSCS card. Check with your employer before enrolling.

How does the online learning work?

Study at your own pace from home — most people finish the learning in a few hours.

​

The assessment is invigilated remotely by Highfield, so you'll need a laptop or desktop and a quiet, private space. Phones and tablets aren't accepted.

How quickly can I start?

Pay, complete a short enrolment form, and your LMS login details arrive by email within 3 working days.

 

We submit to Highfield within 1 working day.

Can I get a refund?

Once your details are with Highfield and your LMS access is live, the qualification has been purchased on your behalf and can't be refunded.
